Results from 69 of the 156 constituencies put president Edgar Lungu in the lead with 699,960 votes against UPND’s Hakainde Hichilema with 644,132 votes.
This represents a difference of 55,828 votes.
FDD’s Edith Nawakwi has maintained his distant third place with 10,205 votes,PAC’s Andyford Banda has 5,640 votes,UNIP’s Tilyenji Kaunda has 3,517 votes, and Rainbow party’s Wynter Kabimba has 3,275 votes.
Others are UPP’s Savior Chishimba with 1,714 votes, Green party’s Peter Sinkamba with 1,714 votes and DA’s Maxwell Mwamba has 958 votes.
The latest added results are from Mfuwe,Lukashya,Luampa,Lunte,Liuwa,Nchanga,Chilubi,Kabushi,Kantanshi,Itezhi tezhi,Chililabombwe,Chama North,Namwala,Mafinga and Mkaika.
