AVAP hails voter turn-up in Thursday polls

The Anti-voter Apathy Project (AVAP) has praised voters for turning up in large numbers in Thursday’s elections.

AVAP Executive Director Richwell Mulwani notes that the huge voter turnout recorded in THE elections is a shift from the apathy that has characterized recent elections.

He has also commended voters for the peaceful manner in which they conducted themselves during the voting process.

Mr Mulwani is optimistic that the entire election process will proceed well up to the final announcement of results by the Electoral Commission of Zambia.

And Mr. Mulwani has commended the Zambia Police Service for ensuring a peaceful election process so far.

And Mr. Mulwani is hopeful that people voted ‘Yes’ in the referendum on the bill of rights.
