The political environment in Western Province has been described as calm and peaceful with only six days before the August 11 general elections.

Immediate past Senanga Member of Parliament Likando Mufalali who recently was in the province has disclosed that people are ready to take part in the forthcoming general elections.

In an interview by telephone Mr. Mufalali who also member of the UPND president Hakainde Hichilema’s campaign team says reports of political violence have also rescinded.

Mr. Mufalali says the sense he is getting from the province is that people want to change government come August 11th next week.

He has urged the people of Western Province to thus maintain peaceful nature of the political environment.
