Agriculture Minister Given Lubinda
Government is confident that the Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambian (NCZ) will produce the required 92 thousand metric tonnes of D Compound fertilizer for the 2016/17 farming season.
Agriculture Minister Given Lubinda says so far, the company has produced and distributed over 30 thousand metric tonnes of D Compound fertilizer across the country.
Mr. Lubinda states that government is delighted with the efforts of the company and that the machines at NCZ are running day and night to produce the required fertilizers to be distributed to the farmers across the country.
He says the report that he has received is also showing that the three companies awarded Urea fertilizer supply contracts for 2016/2017 season namely Nyombo Investment Limited, Neria Investment Limited and Zambian Fertilizers Company are also doing a good job.
He is confident that the three companies will deliver the fertilizer to all parts of the country before the end of September, 2016.
