The opposition UPND President Hakainde Hichilema says President Lungu is spreading empty promises about what he will do if re-elected after the August 11th General Elections.

In a statement made available to QFM News today, Mr. Hichilema says the PF Government is now claiming to have allocated farmlands to all ex-miners, as promised several months back.

Mr. Hichilema says the PF is trying to fool the rest of the country into thinking that they have taken care of the poor workers.

He explains that these are miners who lost their jobs and livelihoods in the last year in major part due to the PF’s poor policies and ignorance of how the mining sector works.

He states that first President Lungu promised the miners that no jobs would be lost but that the opposite happened and that then he promised them land, and now he says they have land but these claims do not match up with the truth.

The UPND Leader claims that the PF has done very little for the Zambian people, building up billions of dollars of debt and still managing to drive the economy into the ground.
