The Policy Monitoring and Research Centre (PMRC) has encouraged the Church to promote the unity and peace in the country by preaching love and reconciliation among all parties and stake holders.

And PMRC says it has endeavored to carry out countrywide sensitizations on the Bill of Rights and distributed various publications on the document.

PMRC Executive Director Bernadette Deka explains that among their notable publications are the recently published Bill of Rights and Amended Constitution Analysis booklets, accompanied by the Infographics containing key clauses in the documents citing that they have also published Understanding Government Policy booklet and an Infographics, which was has since seen various stake holders using it in their quest to enhance good governance.

She notes that in their efforts and desire to promote the sensitization of the Referendum and the Bill of Rights, PMRC has developed a mobile application called the “PMRC APP”, that can easily be downloaded from Google Play Store and contains very informative publications which includes the Bill of Rights, the Amended Constitution, Zambian Legislation and other PMRC publications on different topics.

Ms. Deka says they have no doubt that this landmark development will provide the vast majority of the Zambian citizenry an opportunity to be knowledgeable with the contents of the Bill of Rights and address most of the concerns they have had on this legislative document.

She states that it is their hope that the Zambian citizenry will embrace the truths contained in the Bill of Rights and spread the message to others who still have concerns and fears of its content.
