PAC leader speaks against alarming statements

The opposition People’s Alliance for Change (PAC) has advised fellow political parties to desist from issuing statements on the forthcoming elections with the potential of fueling a revolt.

PAC chairperson and presidential candidate Andyford Banda says political parties should stop claiming that they will win the August elections even before people have voted.

He says his party’s appeal is that all political parties hold their guns and wait until people have voted and the election results have been announced.

Mr. Banda adds that political parties taking part in the August elections should also be ready to accept the out of the polls.
