ECZ concerned parties have neglected referendum sensitizations

The Electoral Commission of Zambia has observed that political parties have neglected sensitizing people on the referendum during their campaigns.

Commission Public Relations Manager Crispin Akufuna has noted that politicians have concentrated on asking people to vote for their parties neglecting the referendum.

He says the referendum is not a political party issue or an issue for the commission, but is a matter that affects everyone and calls.

Mr Akufuna states that all the candidates contesting the elections can do better to sensitize the general public on the referendum.
