Marriage counselor counsels married women

Traditional marriage Counselor Judith Mwila has advised women not to confuse submission to their husbands with women’s rights or human rights.

Mrs. Mwila says some women feel submission is an infringement on their rights and end up not delivering their duties in homes.

Mrs. Mwila says submission should always be there in homes as the Bible also encourages women to be submissive to their husbands.

She says women should understand their roles in homes, adding that their rights as women should help them improve their homes and not allow their rights affect the way they manage their homes.

Mrs. Mwila further states that those sensitizing women on their rights should be careful with their advice so that they do not conflict with submission.

She notes that issues of women’s rights have contributed to breaking marriages because women no longer submit to their husbands.
