No local operator intends to fly to Europe yet – CAA

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) says it has so far not received any indication from local airlines expressing interest to start flying into Europe following the lifting of the ban on Zambian registered planes.

Director General Gabriel Lesa says the Authority has however, noticed that some of local operators have begun purchasing of big planes capable of flying into Europe.

In an interview with Qfm News, Mr. Lesa has cited Proflight and Ngwazi as some of the local airlines that have so far purchased bigger aircraft.

Mr. Lesa notes that this could be an indication that local airlines are interested in flying into Europe following the lift of ban on Zambian planes.
