IBA hails media’s election coverage

The Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) has hailed the manner in which broadcasting houses are so far covering campaigns for the August general elections.

IBA Director General Josephine Mapoma says her Authority has taken note that broadcasting media houses have tried to give coverage to all political parties taking part in the forthcoming elections.

Ms. Mapoma has told QTV news in an interview that this is in spite of them having the right to determine the extent of this coverage.

She says this is especially that such kind of coverage still has to be news worthy.
