FFTUZ bemoans banking services in rural areas

The Federation of Free Trade Unions of Zambia (FFTUZ) has bemoaned the deteriorating banking services in the country more especially in rural areas.

FFTUZ Vice President Albert Muyembe says the union has been receiving complainants from its members on the challenges they are facing in accessing banking services which are characterized by network challenges.

Mr. Muyembe says it is important that the banking sector ratifies these challenges as union members are now made to travel long distances to access banking services.

He says even drawing salaries has become a challenge to his union’s members.

Mr Mayembe hopes that the intended merger between ZANACO and Indo Zambia Bank may help in improving bank services.
