ZYAFAC happy with Bill of Rights

The Zambia Youths in the Fights Against Corruption (ZYAFAC) has welcomed the progressive Bill of Rights that the government recently released and calls on stakeholders to support and massive citizen sensitization.

ZYAFAC Acting Executive Director Maurice Malambo says his organization has taken the occasion to audit the Draft Bill of Rights and Article 79 which is due for voting on August 11^th 2016 alongside the elections and holds a view that the bill contains all the progressive elements that stakeholders were demanding for.

Mr. Malambo has commended President Edgar Lungu for making it possible for Zambians to have an opportunity of having a good Bill of Rights to complete a people driven constitution that he has given Zambians.

He says it is for this reason that his organization is urging the general public to utilize this opportunity to support the Bill to become part of the Zambian constitution.

He agrees with other stakeholders who are encouraging Zambians to vote YES in the referendum as this will bring about new developments in people’s rights.
