The Zambia Center for Inter Party Dialogue (ZCID) has secured funds to for an emergency Political Parties Indaba ahead of the general election.
This follows the continued political violence in some parts of the country during the ongoing campaigns.
ZCID Executive Director Horrance Chilando has told QTV News that his organization is dismayed with the continued political violence despite many attempts and efforts by various stakeholders to stop the vice.
Mr. Chilando notes that political violence has escalated to unacceptable levels thus the need for an urgent Indaba to discuss all issues that pose a threat to the promotion of peace in Zambia.
He says his organization has since started sending out invitations to Secretary Generals of political parties inviting them to attend the Indaba.
Mr Chilando states that with the help of donors, ZCID has secured funds to hold the Indaba and that the venue has already been secured.
