The Confederation Trade Union of Zambia has observed that there is lack of political will to curb political violence in the country.

COTUZ President Joe Kamutumwa notes that politicians have made many pronouncements on political violence but have failed to implement them.

And Mr. Kamutumwa has advised the Electoral Commission of Zambia to suspend political parties perpetrating violence in the future instead of inconveniencing those that have nothing to do with violence.

He says everyone knows that political violence is been perpetrated by the Patriotic Front and the United Party for National Development.

Meanwhile Mr. Kamutumwa has appealed to Zambia Revenue Authority to sit down with the Post newspapers and find a lasting solution to the continued closure of the newspaper.

Speaking during a media breakfast in Lusaka today, Mr. Kamutumwa says the closure of the newspaper has affected the workers who have families to look after.
