Asec Mimosa coach Siaka Traore says the battle for second place is very tight in Group A of the 2016 Caf Champions League heading into this weekend’s away clash against Zesco United.

Second-placed Asec of Cote d’Ivoire play third-positioned Zesco on July 16 away in Zambia in a battle to decide who will be number two on Matchday 3 of the competition.

Asec and Zesco are tied on three points with the Ivorian’s enjoying a better goal difference after two rounds and are three points behind leaders Wydad Casablanca of Morocco.

Record eight-time winners Al Ahly of Egypt are bottom of Group A with zero points.

“We are in a group that is tight and very dicey. Even Al Ahly can qualify, it is a very unpredictable group,” Traore said in Ndola on Wednesday upon arrival for Saturday’s game at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Traore said Asec will not underrate Zesco who lost 2-0 away to Wydad on June 29 in Rabat to drop from first to third in Group A while his team rose from third to second following a 2-1 away win over Al Ahly 24 hours earlier in Alexandria.

Asec will be looking for another away win, this time against Zesco who beat Al Ahly 3-2 in Ndola on Matchday 1 on June 18.
