Address all contentious issues, ECZ advised

The Islamic Supreme Council of Zambia (ISCZ) has advised the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to address all contentious issues with the potential to cause post election conflict.

The council is urging the electoral body to ensure all concerns raised by stakeholders patterning to the holding of the general election are addressed now.

Council President Suzyo Zimba told QFM news that it is imperative that the ECZ takes into consideration all issues raised by relevant stakeholders in order to avoid confusion in the electoral process.

And Mr. Zimba has advised political parties pushing the commission to release the updated voters register because of suspected ghost voters to be careful in their demands to avoid creating unending confusion before the elections.
