Local Government and Housing Minister Steven Kampyongo has dismissed as figment of imagination media reports linking him to a scheme to rig the August general election.
Mr. Kampyongo says the Post newspapers which published the article on the alleged rigging scheme must have done so out of expediency and not principle.
He says reality has now dawn on the Post that the opposition UPND which it appears to b
e backing is headed for another failure at elections.
Addressing a media briefing in Lusaka this morning, Mr. Kampyongo wondered why the ruling PF can waste time on campaigning if it has intentions of rigging the elections.
He states that the PF will win the August elections purely because it has worked and delivered to the people of Zambia.
Mr Kampyongo, however, says the ruling party is mindful that it has not delivered everything the more reason why the people of Zambia will renew its mandate.
