Ghost voters worries FDD

The Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) has demanded that the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) avails to the general public the updated voters register in view of the increasing reports of ghost voters in the register.

FDD Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza says it is clear that the ECZ is aware of the existence of ghost voters in the voters register the reason why the Commission is delaying its release.

Mr. Mwanza says if the ECZ has nothing to hide, they should avail the register to all stakeholders.

He says failure to do so; ECZ Chairperson Justice Esau Chulu should resign on moral grounds for failing to perform his duties diligently.

Mr. Mwanza tells QFM News in an interview that it is such issues that make stakeholders question the credibility of the Electoral Commission of Zambia to hold fair elections.
