VICTORIA Beckham and her fellow Spice Girls were the pioneers of Girl Power back in the 90s.

And it seems their legacy is well and truly still going.

The band’s debut single, Wannabe, has been selected as the backing track for a Global Goals campaign, targeted to end poverty, fight gender inequality and tackle climate change.

And their lyric, ‘What I really, really want,’ has been used during the clip to promote the changes the charity want to see.

Throughout the video, posters asking to “end violence against girls,” for “quality education for all girls,” and to end “child marriage” and “equal pay for equal work” are seen.

To make the video even more special, dancers performed around the same location Wannabe was filmed in.

And Victoria was thrilled about the band’s impact taking to Twitter to share the campaign with her 10.2 million followers.

Alongside the video, she wrote: “20 years on – Girl Power is being used to empower a new generation. So proud of @TheGlobalGoals #WhatIReallyReallyWant.”

Amazing!

Fellow Spice Girl Emma Bunton also shared the video on social media, telling followers she was “always supporting” girl power.

As well as the Spice Girls, Tanya Burr, Jamie Oliver and Emma Watson posted about the campaign, ensuring that as many people took notice as possible.

What we really, really want is for the campaign to completely take off.
