Rainbow urges fellow parties to stop violence

The Rainbow party says there is need for all political party taking part in the August 11 general election to take responsibility and ensure there their members do not engage in political violence.

Party campaign manager Sikwindi Situla says the violence that has characterized this year’s campaigns must be condemned by all stakeholders especially political party leaders.

Mr. Situla says violence will not help any political party to win this year’s elections, but will only discredit those political parties perpetrating the act.

He notes that leaders of political parties especially the UPND and the ruling PF can easily stop the violence before it degenerates.

And Mr. Situla has noted the need for all political parties to accept the outcome of the people’s decision in next month’s elections.
