COTUZ urges members to vote YES in referendum

The Confederation of Trade Unions in Zambia (COTUZ) has called on all the workers in the country to vote ‘Yes’ to the referendum  on the Bill of Rights.

Union president Joe Kamutumwa says the Bill promotes workers’ rights.

Mr. Kamutumwa says the labor provisions in the Bill will also help workers in Zambia to enjoy better conditions of service.

He notes that this is besides the piece of legislation enhancing workers’ rights and freedoms.

And Mr. Kamutumwa has strongly taken a swipe on political party cadres perpetrating violence.

Mr. Kamutumwa says violence must be denounced because it has a potential to lead the August general elections going for a rerun.

He has particularly implored the ruling PF and Opposition UPND not to engage in political violence.
