Continued GBV cases irks UPND

UPND Chairman for Rural Reconstruction and Development Moono Mapani has called for stringent measures in curbing Gender Based Violence in the country.

Mr. Mapani says this is the problem that requires concerted efforts in curbing the vice.

Meanwhile, Mr. Mapani has charged that the continued stripping of women naked in public should be blamed on the ruling PF as they set a tone when they stripped UPND women in various locations of the country.

He says during the Youth Day celebrations in Kafue District, PF cadres stripped naked a UPND woman in full view of Republican Vice President Inonge Wina, while two UPND women in Mpulungu were stripped naked in presence of then area MP Freedom Sikazwe and he did nothing.

He notes that this is a most disgusting thing which should not be tolerated by all Zambians.
