Mapani demands for legal framework to protect contents of Bill of Rights

Human Rights Lawyer Moono Mapani has encouraged Zambians to demand for a legal framework to protect the contents of the Bill of Rights.

Mr. Mapani tells QFM News that without the legal framework, people will be duped of their economic, civil and political rights.

Mr. Mapani says in order to avoid what happened to the final draft constitution which he says was manipulated to suit the desires of the party in government, there is need to speak one voice in safeguarding the wishes of the people.

He says at the moment, there is no guarantee of protecting the contents once it goes to parliament.

Mr. Mapani states that there is still time for Zambians to ask government to protect the contents of their submissions.
