The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has seized expired products in Chilanga, Kafue and Chirundu worthy K4, 100.

CCPC Public Relations Hanford Chaaba says CCPC public officers and local officers inspected various shops in the three districts and seized a number of expired products.

Mr. Chaaba says the commission is worried with the low levels of compliance in the three districts.

Mr. Chaaba has explained to QFM News that of the seized expired products, K1, 839 worthy of products were seized in Chirundu, K1, 584 worthy of goods were seized in Kafue while K763 were from Chilanga.

He says the largest chunk of seized products were food items saying this is worrisome as this borders on the health of consumers.

He has however expressed satisfaction that no disclaimer was found from the shops inspected in the three districts.
