FFTUZ encourages next govt to appoint more women

The Federation of Free Trade Unions of Zambia (FFTUZ) women have encouraged the next government to ensure that they appoint more women in key positions.

FFTUZ National Women Chairperson Charity Kampamba says there is need to have more women appointed in key positions as this will be easier for them to help their fellow women.

Ms Kampamba says it is gratifying that most political parties have adopted some women to contest various positions saying this should be the starting point for promoting women.

She says those who will win, should be accorded a chance to serve in higher positions and bridge the gender gap that exists in the country.
