Tourism and Arts Minister Jean Kapata says Zambia is now seeing an increase in tourists inflows following the successful joint implementation of the UniVisa pilot project with Zimbabwe.

Ms Kapata says this is mainly because entry into the two countries for tourism purposes has been made cheaper.

She says under the UniVisa which is now a full pledged program, a tourist will only need to pay US$50 to visit tourism sites in the two countries for a period of 30 days.

Ms Kapata states that in view of the full operationalisation of the UniVisa program, countries that include Angola, Botswana and Namibia will soon come on board.
