ZAPD sets out conditions for presidential vote

Zambia Association for Persons with Disabilities, (ZAPD) says its members will not vote for presidential candidates who have failed to outline strategic interventions in supporting persons with disability in their manifestoes.

ZAPD Information Officer John Kinuna says the organization is looking forward to hearing issues concerning its members’ welfare.

Mr. Kinuna notes that so far, presidential candidates have said very little in their campaign messages pertaining to issues affecting persons with disabilities.

He says persons with disabilities feel disappointed and neglected by presidential candidates who only want to use them to ascend to power.

Mr Kinuma states that ZAPD is expecting political debates on the practical ways disability interest policies and the legislative framework will be implemented in the best interest of persons with disabilities.
