Dr. Peter Mwaba
Government has engaged the Zambia National Service (ZNS) to complete the remaining health posts of the 650 being constructed across the country.
Last year, government terminated the contract of Angelique International Limited, one of the contractors engaged to construct 247 of the 650 health posts.
Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary, Dr. Peter Mwaba says government is in a hurry to deliver development to the people therefore could not afford seeing projects which are supposed to benefit the people lug behind.
Dr Mwaba is confident that ZNS will work according to the expectation of government and complete the project on time.
He has also revealed that 221 out of the 650 health posts under construction countrywide have since been completed and are functional.
Dr. Mwaba says government is eager to complete the project and deliver the health posts to the people of Zambia as promised.
He states that the construction of the health posts in each district will enable Government to provide primary healthcare to the people as close to their homes as possible.
