Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia is urging the two major political parties, the governing Patriotic Front (PF) and the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) to dialogue and pave the way for a better understanding of why Zambia as a nation should be the priority of the various parties.

EFZ Board Chairperson Bishop Eddie Chansa has observed that lack of dialogue between the two parties has contributed to heightened political tension in the country with the general election only one month away.

Bishop Chansa says there is need for political parties to engage in dialogue ahead of the polls and avoid the escalation of political violence in the country.

He laments the fact that, the two main political parties are not interacting enough, which he says is a major problem.

Meanwhile the EFZ Board Chairperson has advised Church Leaders not to publicly endorse any candidate ahead of the general election, but guide their church members on how to make the right decisions.

Bishop Chansa has also dismissed assertions that the church is divided because of the politicians who are in a habit of using Pastors.
