ZNUT advises against using schools for campaigns

The Zambia National Teachers Union (ZNUT) has cautioned politicians against using schools for political rallies.

Public Relations Manager Joe Kasaka says political parties should realize that holding of rallies at learning institutions tends to result in the destruction of school property as well as disturb the pupils.

Mr. Kasaka has also pleaded with political parties not to hold political rallies and public meetings during school days while classes are ongoing.

He has further observed the need for school headmasters and teachers to remain non-partisan.
