UPND urges Lungu not to protect corrupt officials

The opposition UPND has challenged President Edgar Lungu to prosecute corrupt officials in his administration as proof he is committed to the fight against corruption.

UPND Deputy Spokesperson Edwin Lifwekelo says President Lungu should prove to the nation that indeed he is a leader that walks the talk.

Mr. Lifwekelo says failure by President Lungu to do so should raise doubts as to whether he truly does work the talk.

He believes that more needs to be done if the Country wants to win the fight against corruption.

Mr. Lifwekelo thinks that corruption is widespread in the Country because the Republican President is allegedly unable to fight the vice effectively.
