UPF to hold meeting for political parties

The Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Zambia Chapter is on Thursday this week to hold a meeting for all political parties taking part in the August general elections.

UPF Zambia chapter Malimba Masheke has disclosed that his organization is also inviting other stakeholders in the electoral process to attend this meeting which will focus on the issue of peace.

General Masheke says his organization is worried about the daily reports of political violence the Country has been witnessing ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

He has told Qfm in an interview that his hope is that things will come back to normal after this meeting.

General Masheke who is also former Prime Minister under the UNIP government has also disclosed that in the same Thursday meeting the referendum on the Bill of Rights will also be on the agenda.
