NCC to conduct countrywide survey

The National Council for Construction (NCC) is to conduct a countrywide survey to ascertain the baseline statistics for the Zambian Construction industry based on the 2015 fiscal year.

NCC Executive Director Charles Mushota says the objective of the survey which will be conducted in partnership with the Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis and Research (ZIPAR) is to determine the critical data needs of the construction industry.

Mr. Mushota says the survey also seeks to evaluate the performance and growth of the Construction industry and assess the environment for financing of construction projects.

Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka today, Mr. Mushota says the survey further seeks to descriptively analyze the information contribution of NCC registered contactors.

And speaking at the same event, ZIPAR Acting Executive Director Shebo Nalishebo has encouraged the media to play a role in ensuring that the survey achieves the intended objectives.
