EAZ sees need to include debt accumulation process in Budgeting Policy

The Economics Association of Zambia (EAZ)has observed the need to include the debt accumulation process in the Country’s National Planning and Budgeting Policy.

EAZ president Crispin Mphuka says his Association has seen the necessity to have caps in the policy in terms of how much debt the Country can accumulate at given economic situation.

In an interview with QTV News, Dr. Mphuka says the amount of debt Zambia has accumulated in the last 5 years is evidence enough that such caps are necessary.

Dr. Mphuka says his association has however, noted that since the implementation of the National Planning and Budgeting Policy began, there has been an improvement in the national budget management cycle.
