Former Church of God overseer Bishop John Mambo says there is need for government and stakeholders to enhance voter education to avoid high numbers of rejected ballots.

Bishop Mambo says since the country will be holding general elections, it is important that people are taught on how to vote citing that there are new voters on board as well as those who are aging and need to be reminded.

He says failure to educate the people on how to vote, it may also result in voter apathy for fear by the people to go and make mistakes.

Bishop Mambo adds that with the 50 percent plus one clause in the amended constitution, government together with the stakeholders should do everything possible to encourage as many people as possible to vote.

He says much attention should be given to those in rural areas.
