Fisho Mwale pledges to transform Lusaka

Lusaka Mayor aspiring candidate Fisho Mwale has called for improved sanitation in the capital city by managing well waste and sewerage network.

Addressing journalists shortly after touring Chilenje Market today, Mr. Mwale says the Sewerage in Garden Compound has been the stickiest in the African region which needs to be addressed in order to improve the living standards of the people in the capital city.

Mr. Mwale says the sewer has also been the bleeding ground for mosquitoes making it difficult to completely eradicate diseases such as Malaria.

He says if the city has to improve the health of the people; the sewer needs to be looked at critically and avoid outbreaks of diseases as Cholera and Malaria.

Meanwhile, the former Lusaka Mayor has pledged to work with local people and existing structures in ensuring that the capital city of Zambia is transformed.
