Msoni counsels against brining republican presidency into disrepute

All People’s Congress (APC) president Nason Msoni has advised opposition leaders contesting this year’s general election against bring the republican presidency into disrepute.

Mr. Msoni says being a candidate in an election is not a license for anyone to criminally show disrespect to the person holding the office of republican president.

He states that in a democracy, there should be a clear distinction of the level of respect accorded to someone holding the office of republican president and one who is merely a political party candidate.

Mr. Msoni has since cautioned all opposition candidates to be wary that the same disrespect they are showing to President Edgar Lungu is the same they will receive if elected.
