Kasolo disappointed by workmanship on Katete health posts

Eastern Province Permanent Secretary Chanda Kasolo has expressed disappointment at the substandard works exhibited by a contractor on one of the Health Posts in Katete district.

Mr. Kasolo said there was lack of supervision from the Local authority to ensure quality works were done under the Constituency Development Funds (CDF).

He was speaking when he officially opened a two day Provincial Development Coordinating Committee (PDCC) meeting held at Luangwa house in Chipata today.

Mr. Kasolo wondered how Katete district Council released payment for the contractor after performing such substandard works on the health posts

He described the works as scandalous and has since directed all councils in the region to put more effort in ensuring that supervision of contractors is done before and after works are completed.
