China-Geo is still working on Solwezi-Chingola Rd

Government has refuted media reports suggesting that China-Geo the contractor engaged to work on lots 1 and 2 of the Solwezi-Chingola Road has abandoned construction works.

Works and Supply Minister Yamfwa Mukanga says the contract with China Geo has not been cancelled and therefore the contractor cannot abandon the works.

In an interview by telephone from Chingola, Mr. Mukanga has however told Qfm News that his Ministry will conduct a site inspection to ascertain progress of the works on the road.
