ZESCO Limited says the hours of load shedding have been reduced from nine hours per day to four hours.

Zesco Spokesperson Henry Kapata says this is because of the massive water inflows at the Itezhi Tezhi dam.
Mr. Kapata has explained that since the Itezhi Tezhi power station was commissioned by President Lungu some time back, it was only able to produce about 60 mega watts of power because of low water levels.
He says the power station is now producing at full capacity of 120Mega Watts resulting in reduced load shedding.
