The Opposition Zambians for Empowerment and Development has blamed the media for fueling conflicts and the continued political violence in the country through negative reporting.
ZED spokesperson Wesley Miyanda says some journalists report stories relating to violence and conflicts without doing proper investigations.
Mr. Miyanda says the media should promote peaceful co-existence of political players.
He states that if not checked, the negative reporting by some journalists has the potential to threaten the security of the nation especially with the upcoming elections.
