RTSA regrets party supporters are disregarding road safety

The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) says it is regrettable that political party supporters have opted to disregard road safety regulations during political processions.

RTSA Head of public relations Fredrick Mubanga says road safety should not be compromised be it during the campaign period or any other period.

Mr. Mubanga says the RTSA will do everything possible to ensure that road safety takes centre stage during the campaign period.

He notes that political party supporters should remember that there is life after the elections and hence the need for them to take care of themselves.

Mr. Mubanga further states that the agency has engaged the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to help facilitate for a stakeholders meeting with political parties on the need for their supporters to observe road safety.
