PF President Edgar Lungu and his running mate Inonge Wina
Three presidential candidates and their running mates have today successfully filed in their nomination papers to contest the August 11th elections.
The candidates who filed in their nominations today are from the ruling Patriotic Front, United Progressive People and Green Party.
PF President Edgar Lungu and his running mate Inonge Wina were the first ones to file in their nominations this morning followed by UPP’s Dr. Saviour Chishimba with his female running mate Sinazeni Chuma.
Rainbow Party Leader Wynter Kabimba with his running mate Dr. Cosmos Musumali also filed in their nomination papers later in the afternoon.
Mr. Kabimba said after filing in his nomination papers that his mission is to free Zambia from the total suffering under the PF.
And Dr. Chishimba has called on Zambians to reject politicians who jump from one political party to another.
He also said that it appears that some leaders have forgotten that blood was shed in order to have the freedom the country is enjoying.
