Parties encouraged to continue with peaceful campaigns

Political Players have been encouraged to continue conducting peaceful campaigns.

Hope for Human Rights Executive Director Smart Chanda notes that the campaigns have so far been peaceful despite some elements of provocation where some campaign materials have been pulled down.

Mr. Chanda says political parties should ensure that peace is preserved during and after the elections.

Meanwhile, Mr. Chanda has expressed concern that some political parties have preferred to adopt new members at the expense of long serving members.
