Lungu meets Emperor Mwata Yanvwa Mushidi

President Edgar Lungu has assured the visiting Emperor Mwata Yanvwa Mushidi the third of the Luba-Lunda Kingdom that Zambia will hold peaceful elections.

President Lungu says the ruling PF is a party with a sense of justice and will therefore ensure rules are followed during the elections and peace is maintained.

He notes that this means that when time for the ruling PF to leave comes, it will peacefully handover power.

And President Lungu has wished the Democratic Republican of Congo where the Mwata-Yavwa is based peace.

President Lungu says having broken away from the same kingdom, what happens to the people of Congo also affects the people of Zambia.

President Lungu was speaking this afternoon when the Mwata- Yavwa who is King of the Luba-Lunda Kingdom which stretches across Central Africa called on him at State Lodge today.

And the Mwata-Yavwa who was accompanied by Chief Mumena of the Kaonde speaking people of Northwestern Province wished Zambia peace as it heads to the elections.

He also thanked President Lungu for finding time from his busy schedule to accommodate his courtesy call.
