Evans Ng’oma resigns from PF

Evans Ng’oma has with immediate effect resigned from the ruling Patriotic Front after the ruling party refused to adopt him in preference for General Education Minister Dr. John Phiri.

Mr. Ng’oma, who applied to stand on the PF ticket for Lundazi Constituency, has opted to stand as an independent candidate in the August 11th General Elections.

He says Dr. Phiri is not popular and the people on the ground have advised him to go as independent candidate saying he still has a huge chance of winning the elections.

Mr. Ng’oma has however indicated that he will continue to support President Edgar Lungu as the decision not to adopt him was not made by him but by selfish members.

He says he handed his resignation letter to PF Secretary General Davies Chama and has since thanked the ruling party for the help rendered to him.

Meanwhile, the PF in Kafue is disappointed with alleged adoption of Gibson Sinkala living out Mr. Roy Mwaba.

Kafue youth Secretary Lotti Sikasunda says they are of the view that Mr. Mwaba is the best candidate for Kafue.

He says it is a well known fact that Mr. Sinkala during his tenure as council chairperson had many issues.

He says if he is adopted, then the PF is headed for doom citing that as PF in kafue, they do not want anyone who has a bad record.

Mr. Sikasunda says Mr. Mwaba would contest as MP with clean hands unlike Mr. Sinkala.
