Political parties contesting this year’s general election have been told to prioritize peace and avoid doing anything irresponsible or reckless.

Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia Executive Director Reverend Pukuta Mwanza says the nation should not burn for the interest or ambition of any individual or group.

Reverend Mwanza says resorting to intimidation and thuggery to win political power is shameful and not the right thing to do.

He says politicians need to preach peace to avoid any form of confusion.

Reverend Mwanza says it is important for all key actors to accept to conduct themselves well and play by the rules of the game to keep the nation united and sustain its multi-party democracy on the path of growth.
