More efforts needed to reduce poverty levels – CSPR

The Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) says the performance of the PF in the last five years in terms of poverty reduction has been average.

CSPR Executive Director Patrick Nshindano says this should not however make the PF government to relax saying more needs to be done.

Mr. Nshindano says according to the statistics at Central Statistical Office shows that there has been a marginal reduction of poverty levels saying his organization recognizes the efforts by the government.

He says his organization has noted some positives in poverty reduction but that the country still needs to do more in uplifting the lives of the people.
