Emulate us, PF advises UPND

The ruling Patriotic Front has accused the opposition UPND of being bent on undermining the integrity of the Electoral Commission of Zambia by continuing to insinuate that the August 11th elections will be rigged.

PF Deputy Spokesperson Frank Bwalya has wondered why the UPND wants to undermine the integrity of the Electoral Commission of Zambia when it has proved to be a credible institution.

Mr. Bwalya has advised the UPND to emulate the PF which while in opposition took part in several general elections without necessarily having a say on where the ballot papers should be printed.

He has recalled that in the 2011, the PF went on to win the elections without playing a role in deciding where the ECZ was to print the ballot papers.

Mr. Bwalya says it is therefore surprising that the UPND is now giving an indication that for it to win the ELECTIONS; it has to be the one to decide where the ballot papers should printed.
